Ceramics

My ceramic artwork has been featured in books and magazines internationally (see Exhibition History). One of the notable features of this body of work was my method for making an 8-pound pinch pot, using the hammer and anvil technique (paddling the clay against my hand). Read one of the articles and see demo photos (scroll to page 2). My raku kiln design allowed me to fire one large pot at a time without moving the piece to a reduction container. Later work utilized the coil method and electric firing, combined with original metal jewelry made for each piece, as in Pyramus & Thisbe shown below.
